How it plays

Every creature you cast adds a +1/+1 counter to Animar, reducing the cost of your next creature by one colourless mana. Chain enough creatures together and your massive Eldrazi threats cost nothing at all. The deck is built around maximising this loop — cheap creatures to grow Animar fast, then enormous payoffs that come out turns ahead of schedule.
