Kuja, Genome Sorcerer — Rakdos Wizards Commander Deck

At the end of each of your turns, Kuja creates a 0/1 Wizard token that deals 1 damage to each opponent whenever you cast a noncreature spell. Once you control four or more Wizards, Kuja transforms into Trance Kuja, Fate Defied — and any damage your Wizards would deal is doubled.

How it plays

Build up a quiet crowd of Wizards, then let every noncreature spell you cast become a hit to the whole table. Each token pings every opponent once per spell; flip Kuja and that becomes two damage per token, per opponent. The deck is built to keep a steady stream of cheap noncreature spells flowing while growing and protecting the Wizard count, so the damage adds up turn after turn until the table runs out of life. We would reccommend sitting in the background, don't go for any crazy plays until the last second, when everyone checks their life totals and wonders why its half of what they thought. 

Is this right for my playgroup?

Kuja is one of the standout commanders from the Final Fantasy set and an easy pick for anyone with a soft spot for Final Fantasy IX. The deck rewards players who enjoy spellslinging and steady, incremental damage over big combat turns. A well-timed board wipe will slow it down, but Kuja rebuilds the ranks every turn. Well suited to casual and mid-power pods.
